Church History

Austin Chinese Church is a non-denominational church. We base our faith on the Bible. The church's members consist of immigrants or students from various parts of East Asia, as well as the next generation of Chinese Americans born in the United States. Currently, the attendance for the church's Sunday worship services is approximately as below:

The church's history can be summarized as follows

In 1982

The church was established for Mandarin worship with Cantonese translation.

In 1987

Land acquisition was completed, the church relocated to Dessau Road.

In 1989

English services began.

In 1995

Cantonese services began.

In 2000

Started the 2nd Mandarin service for China Mainland visiting scholars.

In 2006

The English college student ministry branched out and became Vox Veniae

In 2007

Established the Northwest branch.

In 2008

The Northwest branch was formally established and became Rock Chinese Church of Austin
